3 killed as bus hits motorcycle in Kishoreganj
Three people including a child were killed as a passenger bus rammed a motorcycle in Daukiya area of Kishoreganj sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon (Sep 23).
The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam, son of one Hadis Mia of Madhupur village in Kendua upazila of Netrokona, Rubel Mia, 32, from the same area and his 5-year-old son Shahriar.
Locals said the three of them were heading towards Kendua from Kishoreganj by a motorcycle while a Muktagachha-bound bus crushed the motorbike leaving Rafiqul dead on the spot. Two others died later in hospital.
Kishoreganj model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Shama Hayat told Banglanews that the bus was seized but the driver managed to escape. Legal action is being taken over the incident.
