2 construction workers electrocuted
Two construction workers died from electrocution at Hatirjheel area in the capital on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Mazharul Islam, 22, hailed from Matlab upazila of Chadpur, and Arif, 20, from Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh.
Hatirjheel Police Station SI Md Shariful Islam said one of the workers was electrocuted when he was doing piling work at a house at Lohar Gate area of West Rampura at 8pm.
Another worker was also electrocuted when he was trying to save his co-worker.
Being informed, police went to the scene and sent the bodies to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital morgue, SI added.
