2 BAF pilots killed as plane crashes in Jessore
JESSORE: Two pilots of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) were killed as the training aircraft  ‘K-8W’crashed into a water body in Jessore Sadar upazila Sunday night (July 1).

The deceased were—Squadron Leader Md Serajul Islam and Squadron Leader Enayet Kabir Polash. 

The two pilots were killed as the plane crashed at Book Bhora Baor, after taking off from BAF Base BS Matiur Rahman on a night training session, Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) Assistant Director Rezaul Karim Shami told Banglanews.

“A horrid sound was heard as the plane crashed into the Book Bhora Baor, around 9:15 at the night,” said Deyara Union Parishad Chairman Anisur Rahman.

“The locals and fishermen rushed to the spot but couldn’t see the pilots,” he added.

“Rescue work is being carrying out. A committee has been formed to probe into the incident,” Rezaul Karim Shami said further.
