12 named for Bangla Academy Literary Award
DHAKA: Twelve personalities have been nominated for the Bangla Academy Literary Award for 2018 for their outstanding contributions to their respective field of literature.
Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan announced the names at a press conference at the academy’s conference room on Saturday (January 27).
The 12 recipients are Mohammad Sadik and Maruful Islam in poetry, Mamun Hossain in literature, Professor Mahbubul Haque in essay, Professor Rafiqullah Khan in research, Aminur Rahman in translation, Kamrul Islam Bhuiyan and Surma Zahid in literature on Liberation War, Shakur Mazid in story on traveling, Moloy Bhoumik in drama, Mustak Ahmed in science fiction, and Jharna Dad Purkayostho in juvenile literature.
