12 Chhatra Dal leaders expelled
Twelve Chhatra Dal leaders, who have been protesting with demand of lifting age limit in forming committee of the party, were expelled by BNP on Saturday night.

A press release signed by BNP's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir disclosed the matter on the night.

The expelled leaders are JCD Dhaka University unit general secretary Bashar Siddiqui, Dhaka city south president Zahir Uddin Tuhin, JCD's dissolved committee's vice president Emal Hossain Pilot, Iktiar Kabir, Joydeb Joy, Mamun Billah, joint general secretary Golam Azam Saikat, Abdul Malek and member Azim Patwari. 

At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, the leaders announced to continue protests until their demands are met.

BNP dissolved JCD committee a day before Eid-ul-Fitr on June 3. And time was set to form new committee by 45 days through council. 

On the day, BNP said those who passed SSC examination since 2000 will only get place in the committee.

After the announcement, aggreived leaders of JCD locked BNP's Nayapaltan central office on June 10 and besieged the party's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizbi inside the office.

After talking with Tareq Rahman over phone, the aggrieved leaders eased but are continuing two hours sit-in every seeking fulfillment of their demands.
