11th span of Padma Bridge installed
Eleventh span of the 6.15-kilometre Padma Bridge was installed at the Jajira point on Tuesday morning, with this a total of 1,650 metres of the bridge main structure is now visible.
Deputy Assistant Engineer of Padma Bridge Project Humayun Kabir said the 3,140-ton ‘6-C’ span was installed around 9:20am on pillars 33 and 34.
It was brought by floating crane Tian-E from the Mawa Kumarbhog Construction Yard on Monday morning.
