City traffic to end up being regulated from March 26 to 27: DMP
Site visitors on various important and key roads of the administrative centre will be manipulated and remain closed for some time on March 26 and 27, the Traffic Section of Dhaka Metropolitan Law enforcement (DMP) said on Wednesday.

It said the step has been taken up to facilitate the motion of invited foreign friends and the VVIPs in the celebration of Bangabandhu's birth centenary and Golden Jubilee of Independence.

Meanwhile, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Srilankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering have previously joined the celebration of both mega events.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to be scheduled to go to Bangladesh on March 26 to wait the twin celebrations of Mujib Borsho and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.

He will also go to Bangabandhu Memorial found in Tungipara, Matua community found in Kashiani, and a good temple found in Satkhira on March 27 before holding a good bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
