CAAB asks all not to throw laser ray targeting aircrafts
Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) asked all not to throw laser ray targeting aircrafts landing or taking off at country’s major airports.

“As per section-26 of Civil Aviation Act 2017, this kind of activity is punishable offence,” said a CAAB press release on Monday, BSS reports.

The release said it has been observed that strong laser rays are being thrown targeting landing and taking off planes at different airports in the country.

This kind of laser light creates serious problem for pilots in controlling the aircraft that is a threat to safe aviation, it said.

“The CAAB seek cooperation from everyone in this regard and urged all to refrain from such activities in order to ensure safe taking off and landing of planes,” said the release.
